Washing and handling of trolleys

SEMI STAAL designs and produces tailor-made systems for washing and handling most types of trolleys, roll cages and racks. We supply to both food and non-food industries, including roller container washers for dairies, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry.

Washing systems in all sizes

Compact RW1

RW1 has infeed and outfeed on the same side. The perfect solution if space is an issue. The cabinet can be equipped with an additional wash module or supplied as a pass-through solution (RW2) for increased capacity. Several types of heat sources and filters allow us to customise a solution that will suit your requirements.

RW2 tunnel solution

RW2 has separate infeed and outfeed. The central washer module is equipped with a recirculating pre-rinse (option), a recirculating washing section and an after-rinse as standard. The washer module can be integrated existing conveyor system or extended with SEMI STAAL conveyor system as required. 

RW2 accumulation lanes

In this solution, the washer is integrated with accumulation lanes before and after the washing unit. This increases the throughput speed, and reduces manpower. Layout and automation level can be customised as required.

Fully automated washing and handling system

Washing and rinsing section

The recirculating washing system, with automatic heating of the water and dosing of detergent, washes the trolleys clean and bacteria-free. After the washing process, the trolleys are after-rinsed to ensure that they are pH neutral.

Several types of heat sources and filters can be selected, and a range of advantageous options make the system adaptable

Transfer section

Blow-off dryer

The blow-off drying system can be integrated with the washer or stand alone. Blow-off drying ensures that the trolleys can be returned directly to the production line in a dry state.
