SEMI STAAL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Policy. This policy is based on the company’s belief that it has a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of society and the environment and to do so in a responsible and transparent manner.
The policy applies to all SEMI STAAL employees and contract workers and covers all of the company’s business activities and operations. The CEO and the Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring compliance with the policy.
SEMI STAAL will monitor its performance in meeting its CSR commitments and objectives by collecting data over 2023 on carbon footprint, energy consumption and waste generation and conducting regular audits of suppliers, contractors and employees to ensure they are complying with SEMI STAAL’s Code of Conduct. We will report our CSR performance in the Annual Report and on the company website in 2024.
To meet its CSR commitments and objectives, the company will undertake a number of actions and initiatives, including conducting energy audits, installing solar panels at its facilities, implementing a sustainable supply chain programme and working with local charities and non-profit organisations to support community development.
Company stakeholders include employees, customers and clients, shareholders, government and regulatory agencies, and suppliers and contractors. The company is committed to engaging with its stakeholders in a transparent and open manner and seeks to understand and respond to their concerns and views.
