SEMI-STAAL provide a “Clean guarantee” on our washing installations. A “clean result” is determined how the following 5 variables are balanced: Nozzle configuration, pressure, temperature, contact time and chemicals. When we tailor our solution these the 5 variables which is the basis for the final outcome to guarantee that our customers hygiene requirements are satisfied.

Total Cost of Ownership

When investing into washing and handling equipment several other factors besides the capital investment influence the “Total Cost of Ownership” (TCO). Actually, the capital investment itself often represents the smallest share of TCO when considering all cost factors over a lifetime of 10-20 years.

However, often the capital investment itself is rated amongst one of the most important decision criteria. But factors such as lifetime and the operating cost which includes:

- Service and spareparts cost
- Energy, water and chemical consumption
- Line down time
- Customer claims (as a result of improper cleaning)
- Environmental considerations

are all factors which should be weighted with far higher importance. These operating cost often considerably exceeds the initial capital investment.
