SEMI-STAAL wins contact for two vertical lift systems in Egypt

SEMI-STAAL wins a contract with a leading Egyptian food processor for a 3 level vertical lift system for pallets with loads up to 1 ton.

The customer needed a fast, realiable and efficient internal transport system for their raw materials and finished goods. In collaboration with the customer a solution for two full automatic hoist systems with automatic infeed and discharge conveyors were developed. The two hoist systems are planned for in during July/ August 2010.

SEMI-STAAL won a contract with a leading Swedish player in the fish industry for a complex automatic crate washing and handling system for 1.000 crates/ pallets hour.

The installation includes the following functions: destacking, turning, soaking up tunnel, 4 stage washing system with high pressure section, turning and stacking and accumulation system. The system is full automatic and is able to handle 10 different crates. SEMI-STAAL is with this installation deploying a new effetive heating system with minimal energy loss.

SEMI-STAAL’s have supplied crate, tote, tub, bin and pallet washer systems over the past 35 years. During the past few years SEMI-STAAL have made significant design upgrades be best in class on HACCP machine design, label removal and filtering systems.

In order to acomodate the wishes of our customers’ service personell SEMI-STAAL have designed our solutions in a way which grants free and unhindered access to inside of the machines by making the whole top half of the wash tunnel liftable. This makes proper maintenance and cleaning possible. Another HACCP feature is all surfaces are “self draining” in order to avoid water bacteria accumulation.

In order to solve the hygienic problems, the risk for cross infection and spreading of bacteria, SEMI-STAAL has developed a complete system consisting of:

1) Wheeled bins of 600 - 800 ltr in stainless steel HACCP design

2) Dumping system for bins

3) Integrated washing and sanitizing system for the bins

4) Integrated data log system of wash through incorporated chip in each bin

This system has now been in operation for some time at a major hospital in Denmark
